vivo has today confirmed the launch date for the vivo X70 series of smartphones. The even will take place in China at 7:30 PM (local time) on September. 9. According to recent reports, the series will include three smartphones such as the vivo X70, vivo X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. The Chinese manufacturer has shared some images of the Pro+ to reveal its design.
The flagship smartphone will feature a Zeiss T* camera – that’s the very same branding we have seen on the back of the Sony Xperia 1 smartphones. Zeiss is a German optics company and T* is its special type of lens coating, eliminating the glare from stray light.
The images also reveal a camera island with four shooters in an L-formation, one of them being a periscope telephoto unit. vivo has also chosen to go for a massive reflective glass on the back, which is slightly occupied by vivo and Zeiss logos but otherwise has pretty much zero technological functionality.
Expectations are the Pro+ to be powered by the Snapdragon 888+ since its predecessor, the X60 Pro+, runs on the SD888, but so far, we know nothing about the other phones from the X70 family.
