The eligibility criteria consist of a minimum of 3.5 GPA or an SAT score of over 1220 to apply. You also need to submit a FAFSA form to demonstrate your needs for the funding with a recommendation letter from the faculty.
- Edward D. Hendrickson/SAE Engineering Scholarship Program:
Magnus Hendrickson, father of Edward D. Hendrickson was a pioneer in commercial truck suspension systems in the US and was an active member of the SAE Foundation. In his memory, Edward Hendrickson in collaboration with the SAE Foundation inaugurated the scholarship program to award one junior or senior college student to get a $5000 scholarship every year for their engineering curriculum.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you need to at least have a normalized cumulative GPA of 3.0 with the aim to pursue engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Two letters of recommendation are necessary to outline your academic and extra curriculum activities. As the scholarship is presented by Edward international, special preference is given to those who plan to pursue a career in the commercial vehicle industry.
