Samsung to challenge Apple: Galaxy Watch FE to join expanding lineup

2024 will mark a year for new joinings in Samsung’s Fan Edition lineup. Samsung is reportedly bringing the first affordable foldable phone, Galaxy Z Fold FE, this year, and a new development suggests that a Fan Edition Galaxy Watch could also be launched.

AndroidHeadlines spotted evidence of Samsung Galaxy Watch FE in the IMEI database. The listing suggests the Watch FE exists, with a launch expected globally, including in the US and South Korea. It aligns with a rumor that we heard in the past that Watch 4 2024 is coming.

IMEI database revealed Samsung’s Watch FE is in development with model numbers: SM-R866F, SM-R866U, SM-R866N. The wearable could be equipped with the same chip as used in the Watch 4 – Exynos W920 and run the fresh iteration of the Wear OS operating system.

Samsung appears to be following Apple’s patch to make its hurdle. The company will give tough competition to the US firm by bringing budget-friendly products with pro-grade specifications. So far, Galaxy S FE, Galaxy Buds FE, and Galaxy Tab FE have joined the Fan Edition lineup.

The South Korean tech giant will hold an Unpacked event in July this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold Ultra and Watch 7 series could be unveiled. In October, the company may introduce the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Watch FE.
