Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4 start receiving April 2024 patch, One UI 6.1 update awaited!

Samsung has started rolling out a new firmware update with an April 2024 security patch for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones. The update arrives on locked models on the Verizon network in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.

April 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US can be identified through One UI build versions F721USQS4EXD1 and F936USQS4EXD1 respectively.

The fresh update improves the system’s security and stability to provide a better experience. It also fixes some issues that users encountered in the last update for error-free services.

According to the patch details, Samsung has resolved over 50 issues and exposures that were harming the system’s security and users’ privacy. More specifically, it fixes 1 critical and 26 high levels of Google CVEs and 17 Galaxy-specific issues and vulnerabilities.

If you are using a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Flip 4 smartphone, you can now head over to your phone’s Settings and enter the Software update section. Now when you tap on the Download and Install option, the available update will appear on your screen.

One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy Z Fold 4

Samsung One UI 6.1 is being tested for Fold 4 and Flip 4 devices, and the company will soon release major updates for these devices. The next update for these phones will be One UI 6.1. In late March 2024, Samsung started expanding the One UI 6.1 update for 9 older flagship devices and the Korean tech giant will make it available to more devices before the end of April 2024.
