Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Fold FE in work, specs rumored but launch unlikely
Samsung is reportedly developing the Galaxy Z Flip FE along with the Galaxy Z Fold FE. Rumor is that the company is working on an affordable clamshell foldable, which might not be unveiled. As the development is in its initial phase, there may be changes before the July Unpacked.
According to rumors, Samsung has two affordable foldable phones in the works: Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy Z Fold FE. We’ve heard a lot of times about the arrival of a budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold model, however, the company is also crafting a cheaper Flip.
Galaxy Z Flip FE
The Galaxy Z Flip FE might be equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and it could be available in 256GB and 512GB storage variants. Possible dimensions of the product have also been rumored which are as follows:
- Folded: 71.9 x 84.9 x 15.9-17.1mm
- Unfolded: 71.9 x 165.2 x 6.9mm
Galaxy Z Fold FE
The Galaxy Z Fold FE, which could go official this year, is expected to use Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Exynos 2200 chipset. The device will likely be available in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB memory variants. The product’s dimensions are as follows:
- Folded: 71.9 x 84.9 x 15.9-17.1mm
- Unfolded: 130.1 x 155.1 x 6.3mm
Aside from this, Samsung is expected to launch new foldables at its July Unpacked event. The company may introduce Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, affordable foldable device(s) might be introduced in October at a dedicated FE event.
