Samsung has been using aluminum frames for its last five generations of flagships. Now, the fans are up for a surprise, because the Galaxy S20 Ultra is rumored to have stainless-steel frame. The leakster that brought us the first live images of the device has disclosed the new info in a tweet.
Currently, only Apple uses stainless steel for its body. The last three generations of iPhones have all been implementing the design that in theory scratches less and provides an overall better rigidity and durability to the smartphone.
On the other hand steel is denser, which might be an issue for some users, given the Galaxy S20 Ultra is expected to be a humongous handset. Weight will almost certainly be north of 200g, which depending on how you carry your phone might be an inconvenience.
