Samsung confirms Galaxy AI in 2024 foldable phones

Samsung just dropped a hint confirming Galaxy AI in upcoming foldable phones. Debuted with the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy AI technology will be seen in the next-gen foldable devices.

Yesterday, Samsung announced new languages for Galaxy AI features. Unlike the Global Newsroom post, the US-dedicated press release mentions “with more coming soon” when relating the eligible devices.

“The newly supported Galaxy AI languages and dialects will each be available for download as a language pack from the Settings app across all devices that support Galaxy AI. That includes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series, with more coming soon.

While AI features are in consideration for the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung ensured this tech in the next set of foldables. Recently, a report revealed that the company found it hard to optimize AI features on Galaxy S22 phones.

Since there’s a different between Samsung’s statements in Global and US press releases, consumers are a bit confused. It would have surely given up hope to S22 users for Galaxy AI, but One UI 6.1 would lack it for the time being.

Galaxy S23 FE comes with the same chipset as the Galaxy S22 flagships. However, the Korean tech giant is restricting AI on older phones citing hardware requirements, which could be only vapor chamber cooling.
