Volkswagen launched the new ID.3 GTX crossover and ID.7 GTX Tourer, expanding its lineup of sports electric vehicles.

The top-of-the-line ID.3 GTX Performance uses Volkswagen’s most powerful electric motor to date, with a power of 322 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds, with a top speed of 200km/h; while the entry-level ID.3 GTX uses The RWD 2024 ID.4 has the same electric motor with 282 horsepower, the same maximum torque of 545 Nm, and an acceleration time of about 6 seconds from zero to 100 km/h.

The top-of-the-line ID.3 GTX Performance model is equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack, which is higher than the previous 77 kWh, with a range of up to 373 miles (about 600.29 kilometers), and supports 175kW fast charging, 10%-80% only It takes 26 minutes.

In terms of interior, the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX is basically the same as the regular version of the ID.3. It adopts a suspended design full LCD instrument panel and a 12.9-inch central control multimedia display, and is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and an integrated sports steering wheel. type seat, and the seat headrest area is also marked with GTX.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer is Volkswagen’s most powerful tourer, equipped with a 335-horsepower dual-motor AWD powertrain.

Kai Grunitz, head of technical development at Volkswagen, said the ID.7 GTX Tourer combines spaciousness with sports car-level performance, paving the way for a new class of sports cars.

However, Volkswagen has not announced the performance specifications of this model. Currently, it only knows that it is equipped with an 88 kWh battery, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, and has a cruising range of approximately 387 miles (approximately 622.82 kilometers).

Inside, the sports wagon features GTX lettering on the backrests, while red stitching is featured on the seats, dashboard, door trim and steering wheel. In addition, the GTX model retains the spacious interior space of the RWD model, with a luggage compartment capacity of 1714 liters.
