Apple WatchOS 10.4 officially released: fixes bugs

Apple pushed the watchOS 10.4 update (internal version number: 21T216) to Apple Watch users today. This update comes 28 days after the last release.

It should be noted that due to cache issues with the configuration of Apple’s regional node servers, there may be a slight delay in detecting upgrades in some places, usually within half an hour, not too long.

To install the watchOS 10.4 update, your Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% charge and must be on the Apple Watch charger.

The watchOS 10.4 update adds a series of directional character emojis including phoenix, lime, and smiling faces shaking their heads up and down, from the Emoji 15.1 update proposed by Unicode in September 2023.

  • The “Tap to Show Full Notification” setting now allows users to double-click to expand notifications.

  • Confirmation using Apple Pay and AssistiveTouch requires a password for added security and does not support double-clicking the side button.

  • Fixed an issue that caused some users to experience false screen touches

  • Fixed an issue where some users’ address books could not be synced to Apple Watch
