Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming platform, announced today that the company’s business will further expand into the field of online learning and begin testing video-based course services in the UK.
Officials said that the courses on Spotify cover four major topics: making music, being creative, learning business and healthy living . Free users and Spotify Premium users in the UK can try at least two courses for free before deciding whether to purchase.
In the Spotify App, local users can find the course page through the home page, browse tab, etc. After entering the course, users can explore available courses in four categories and then purchase them through the desktop. After purchasing, users can learn through desktop and mobile terminals.
According to reports, the first batch of course content partners include BBC Maestro, artist-led PLAYvirtuoso, Skillshare for learning design/animation/photography and other skills, and Thinkfic Labs Inc. for learning knowledge in marketing and sales.
According to previous reports, Spotify announced in the middle of this month that it will launch a music video (MV) beta test version for Premium subscribers in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Kenya, which includes Hits from global artists like Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Ice Spice, but only available to Spotify Premium users.
