According to recent information, Microsoft will announce the next generation of Windows on June 24, which is likely to be the Windows 11 operating system. Now that new evidence has been found, Hideyuki Nagase, the chief software design engineer at Microsoft, has done some work to make the Android emulator run well under Windows Subsystem for Linux.
Two of WSLG’s pre-release entries read:
Fix the issue that the Android emulator window cannot be moved when there is no frame.
Fix the problem that the Android emulator window cannot be moved and crashes when minimized.
Naijatechnews was informed that earlier rumors, under the Project Latte project, Microsoft will allow developers to package Android applications into MSIX files and publish them through the Microsoft Store. Then, these applications will run in the Android emulator.
In addition, the Android subsystem will not provide the Google Play store and will not support GMS services. In order to provide native Android application compatibility, Microsoft also plans to replace Google APIs with Windows APIs as much as possible.
