According to the Wall Street Journal, Netflix will increase prices in “multiple markets around the world,” starting with the United States and Canada. Netflix declined to comment.
Netflix will reportedly make a price increase announcement “months” after the actors’ strike in Hollywood ends, meaning it could be announced in the coming weeks.
It is worth mentioning that Netflix had a comprehensive price increase last year, with ad-free subscriptions costing at least US$15.49 per month, while Premium subscriptions were mentioned at US$19.99 per month.
In addition, the company has launched an ad-supported plan for $6.99 per month and has also eliminated the basic ad-free plan for $9.99 per month.
