Microsoft updates web versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to enhance Catch Up functionality.
Microsoft issued a press release today to update the web versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 registered users, and add the Catch Up function.
IT Home Note: The Catch Up function mainly facilitates users to quickly view the latest comments, comments and changes in shared or collaborative files.
This update mainly introduces the Activities For You and edit summary functions.
Activities For You:
The Catch Up feature alerts users to user-facing comment activity after they open a collaborative document. Clicking on any item in this list will take you directly to that comment so users can quickly follow up with your collaborators.
Edit summary of changes
Users can see a brief summary of who viewed and modified the document, and what modifications were made, in documents, workbooks, and presentations since the last time they were viewed.
After the user clicks, they jump to the file and view the editing information at the top.
