According to MSPoweruser citing techdows news, Microsoft has added a major new feature to the PDF reader in the Edge Canary and Dev version of the browser: it brings support for PDF catalogs. It is a basic function that Edge lacks so far.
Naijatechnews understands that Microsoft has been working hard to make the PDF reader in the new Edge meet the standards of the old Edge browser, and so far has added “smooth scrolling”, “reading”, “highlighter” tools, and “digital “Signature”, “Dark Mode” and “PDF Form Filling” functions. However, the reader still lacks the search function, two-page layout and adding notes and other functions, so Microsoft still has some work to do.
This feature is currently still in the Dev and Canary channel and is expected to be pushed to mainstream users within a few weeks.
