LinkedIn, a social platform for the workplace, is developing a built-in game feature. Application researcher Nima Owji posted a series of screenshots on X, showing some of the games LinkedIn is developing , and Indicates that an employee’s score will affect their company’s ranking in the game.
LinkedIn has confirmed this plan to foreign media TechCrunch. “We’re adding puzzle-based games to the LinkedIn experience to unleash some fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark opportunities for conversation,” officials said.
The report also stated that the games currently being developed by LinkedIn include “Queens”, “Inference” and “Crosslimb”. It’s unclear when the game feature will go live and if it will be available to free users.
LinkedIn revealed that its premium subscription plan generated $1.7 billion in revenue in 2023. These plans start at $39.99 per month.
