Chinese smartphone brand Infinix has introduced a new smartphone series to its HOT portfolio of smartphones. Dubbed the Infinix HOT 12i, it features a 6.6-inch display and MediaTek Helio A22. The Hot 12i has almost the same specs as the last year HOT 11.
The HOT 12i features a 6.6-inch LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch, just like that of last year. According to the company, the display reaches 480 nits of brightness, delivering a sharp visual experience whether it’s outdoors or in sunny weather. Able to see the Crispy color even under the sun.
Under the hood, the HOT 12i is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with support for MicroSD card expansion. The company could introduce more storage configurations in the future.
As for optics, the HOT 12i has a 13MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) + AI lens triple-camera setup, and for selfies and video calls, there’s an 8MP sensor.
The phone also arrives with dual stereo speakers with support for DTS Surround Sound, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and XOS 7.6 based on Android 11. The HOT 12i is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

The HOT 12i comes in 4 colors: Racing Black, Horizon Blue, Haze Green, and Champagne Gold. It will be released this month (April 2022) in Africa and other markets. The phone carries a starting price tag of about US$110 (46,000 naira).
