In the past few months, especially after the May 2020 update (20H1), some users have reported that the Windows 10 Task Manager cannot recognize or display the correct CPU usage and frequency. For example, a user observes that the CPU on his computer has been stable at 0.79Ghz or 0.00Ghz.

“Sometimes I noticed that the CPU frequency displayed by the Task Manager is 0.00 GHz, but as the load increases, the computer will display the correct value.”

Naijatechnews.com is aware that Microsoft has confirmed that they have resolved a problem described as “the CPU frequency of some processors is incorrect.” At present, the scope and cause of these issues are unclear, but they have now been fixed.

Microsoft only said: ” We have solved the problem of incorrect display of the CPU frequency of some processors .”

In addition, Microsoft said it is also working to fix other errors, including issues that may affect the startup of the magnetic card.
