Most kids have Android devices these days. But, if you’re worried about what apps they may be using or how much screen time they’re getting, there’s something you can try. Google has an app called Family Link. You can see what apps your kids have downloaded to their devices with this app. You can even disable those apps without having to touch your child’s device.

To use the Google Link app, you need to set up an account. But there are some things you’ll need to know before you start using the app. For example, your kid will need their own Google account. If they don’t have one, Google will make you create one. Your kid’s Google account has to be the only one on the device. If there is more than one, Google will sign you out of them.

You will need to download the Google Family Link for parents app on your device and the Google Family Link for children and teens on your child’s device. The Google app will guide you to what you need to do to link the two devices, simply follow the on-screen instructions.

How to Block Apps Using the Google Family Link App

Once you have the app, click on your child’s profile (where you want to control the apps). Swipe down to App Install and tap on View All Apps.

You should now see the list of all your child’s apps on their Android device. Tap on it and toggle off the Allow app option if you want to block one. That’s all there is to it. Simply repeat the process for the app you want to block on your child’s Android device. All of this is done with the Google family app on your device, not your child’s.

Conclusion

As you can see, Google has an app for just about everything. This free app let’s know what app your child has on their device without taking the device from them.
