Google Play Store has enabled the parallel download function for some users in the latest version 40.0.13. When users download applications through Google Play, multiple applications can be downloaded at the same time.
This is not the first time Google has tried this feature. As early as 2020, the Google Play Store tested multiple Android apps for parallel downloads but then gave up. After many years, Google Play Store is testing this feature again and is expected to be open to more users in the future.
There are currently limitations to this feature, and parallel installation may not apply to application updates in the “Manage Applications and Devices” section.

For apps that need to be updated, users still need to wait for the downloads to be completed one by one. Secondly, Google limits the number of apps that can be downloaded in parallel and currently only supports two apps being downloaded at the same time. If it is a ROOT device, you can add a flag through GMS Flags to enable parallel downloading of more applications (up to five):
Package - com.google.android.finsky.regularFlags - InstallQueue__enable_su_parallel_install
