Google is rolling out an overdue functionality to its Gmail app on Android. This feature was introduced on desktop back in February 2020. The feature is called “chips” and is basically filters that help you narrow down your search once you enter somethin into the search box.

The filters help you find a mail from a specific person, in a specific time frame, with attachment or not and if it’s unread or not.
The chips, however, seem to appear only to some users so it’s a server-side update for now.
