Wiko 5G is now official; pricing, specs and availability

Wiko has officially announced her first sub-premium device dubbed Wiko 5G. The smartphone is the first device from the company to run Snapdragon 695 CPU from Qualcomm, and it is based on Huawei’s HarmonyOS Connect operating system.

Not just the HarmonyOS, the Wiko 5G is more like a rebadged Huawei Nova 9 SE. This is not the first time we’ve seen Huawei device re-incarnated as a Wiko smartphone.

The Wiko T3 which was announced back in December of 2021, was more or less, a rebranded Nova Y60 released in South Africa about 3-months earlier. With such collaboration between these two company, we will not be supprise to see a flagship Huawei product going through Wiko in the future.

As for the rest of the specs, the Wiko 5G arrives in a 6.78-inches display. It features a 1080 x 2388 pixels, has a dotted notch on the display, and you are also getting 120Hz fast refresh rating as well.

On the back, there are a set of four camera lenses. These includes a 108-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel ultrawide 2-megapixel macro and a fourth 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery, along with 66W fast charger.

The Wiko 5G is available in Mithril Grey and Obsidian Black colors, and priced as follows:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM = 1,999 yuan or $287
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM = 2,199 yuan or $315

Both models are already on sales in China, starting from today.
