The best games on Nintendo will be outranked by future GameCube games, Nintendo hopes. The gaming industry is a rapidly developing one as the dynamics remain in the player’s mind and his familiarity with all game levels.
The entertainment industry is aware that even quality products become boring when frequently used. The gaming industry applies this knowledge and furthers it for future upgrades. But before the release of Nintendo’s GameCube flagship products, the following brilliant games from GameCube will blow your mind away.
The Nintendo GameCube was first launched in Japan in September 2001. Thereafter, launched in North America a couple of months after. It was a gold rush for Europeans and served disappointment to those who couldn’t get their hands on it.
The following year, this disappointment brought lessons on patience as the wait was worth it. One of the best-looking in aesthetics video game consoles was released.
Abbreviated as “GCN” and “NGC” in North America and Japan respectively, the Nintendo GameCube is a beautiful, compact piece of kit.
Unlike its contemporaries, its usefulness was targeted singly at the purpose of gaming. Resources were put together to mastermind the creation of a masterpiece.
The elaborate ‘A’ button and its wealthy indigo color, coupled into one little sleek device. It was a powerful little box of tricks that hosts a couple of other games.
This recorded the end of Nintendo’s competition on product spec and features with Sony and Microsoft before changing tack with the Wii.
The information contained in this article was gathered from the reviews and ratings of Nintendo Life readers on their favorite GameCube games. As you read through, remember that the list is subject to change anytime soon.
This list is placed in no specific order but is the best result of many.
1. Best GameCube Games: Star Wars Rogue Squadron III (Rebel Strike)
Rebel Strike is a game of great highs and crushingly-dull lows. It features a 2-player co-op mode and the original arcade Atari version of Star Wars for retro enthusiasts.
This came up after Factor 5 made the decision to throw in platforming sections for this sequel to the launch title Rogue Leader. The execution of these platforming sections dragged down the entire experience and was lightyears away from the quality of the arcade-style flight gameplay.
2. Best GameCube Games: The Legend of Zelda (Four Swords Adventures)
An adventure in the Legend of Zelda mold was something very expected. It is a single-player game. It gets interesting with each of the four players hooking their own GBA to the GameCube with the requisite link cable and controlling their Link in a screen-hopping adventure.
Four Swords Adventures is a brilliant co-op Zelda game with just a minor drawback- the fact that it required so much kit to function.
3. Best GameCube Games: Mario Smash Football
It is equipped with a single-player mode and split into a variety of different other modes. Such feature provides players more choices of skill and dribble.
The Grudge Match mode has the most simple features. It’s a battle of two teams struggling to score the most goals.
The Battle Mode is the main championship mode. In a league championship, teams are paired against each other to compete for the coveted Bowser Cup.
The Custom battle is an innovative championship customization mode. It allows players to customize championships to personal specifications.

5. Mega Party’s Best GameCube Game, WarioWare Inc.
This is a remake of the GBA game from Mega Microgames WarioWare, Inc. A home console version added multiplayer to an unstable micro-game concept. This concept mixes small tasks with a time limit to produce an exhilarating experience.
It looks like RandD1 has gone wild and unleashed his unbridled creativity. channeling it into a game without being encumbered by the usual “polished” Nintendo that everyone expects, which makes this game (and the larger series) an extraordinary and unique sensation of freshness.
6. Viewtiful Joe 2
Gifted from Clover Studio, Capcom’s preeminent improvement crew behind Okami and God Hand with contributors who could later shape PlatinumGames. sequel keeps the tale of Joe obsessed on the film as he will become a superhero and joins his crew connects.
Sexy Silvia to shield humanity from an alien invasion. Much just like the first game, it oozes fashion and power from each pore, even though it lacks the cooperative multiplayer mode you would assume from a sequel.
7. Resident Evil 2
Integrating RE2 into the N64 took a more sophisticated effort than being basic. It’s basically a port of the PlayStation version with very few bells and whistles.
The base game’s grandeur shines, of course, and probably makes it worthy of a place here, but anyone who expected a rework was deeply disappointed with this barebones version. Resident Evil 2 is an excellent game, however, even if its presentation is frayed.
8. Best GameCube Games: Ikaruga
9. Baten Kaitos Origins
This is the first and greatest sequel to Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean.
These supplied some gameplay tweaks, but didn’t basically extrude the number one game’s base experience. GameCube changed into its manufacturing line.
Until the final segment, the builders have decided not to transport it to the subsequent Wii.
In retrospect, it changed into an apparent mistake that Baten Kaitos Origins could unavoidably get greater interest than what changed into within-side the Crimson container on the time.
Interestingly, this changed into one of the first video games to be localized with the aid of using 84, the localization residence that labored with Nintendo at the tremendous Fire Emblem: Awakening and Xenoblade Chronicles X, among others.
10. Best GameCube Games: Chibi-Robo
Chibi-Robo is difficult to explain as it’d now no longer nicely fit into any unique elegance or genre.
It’s a part-platformer, part-adventure, part-amiable helper exercise that mixes elements of Toy Story as you discern to help the Sanderson’s family treat their everyday problems.
The eponymous altruistic robot himself is a captivating little chap who’s starred in several video games. Note this GameCube’s introduction has the most devastatingly lovable amiibo imaginable, however, he has in no way reached the heights of his debut here. How Lovely!
11. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
Very particular about the Nintendo64 access within the series, however, developer Camelot failed to do lots of corrections whilst it got here to the GameCube iteration, either.
Featuring 16 characters and publications containing Mushroom Kingdom staples, including warp pipes and Chain Chomps, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour takes matters up tools without reinventing the game, making each bunker and inexperienced appearance certainly adorable and introducing a few laugh greater modes.
Hardly revolutionary, however, there may be the simplest thing you may do with golfing and there are not many higher methods to break a stroll than this.
12. Sonic Mega Collection of Best GameCube Games:
Bringing collectively the first-class of Sonic’s Mega Drive catalog (and Sonic 3-d Blast), this disc additionally includes Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Ristar, and Flicky for exact measure (plus Comix Zone and The Ooze in Japan).
Originally GameCube exclusive, a good large series became subsequently launched on different consoles named Sonic Mega Collection Plus with extra Sonic goodness from the Game Gear, in addition to the Japanese exclusives above.
It’s a disgrace those were not blanketed originally, however the video games you really need have been right here and Sonic CD and a group of different rarities could come alongside in the Sonic Gems Collection, so after looking at him for years on rival consoles Nintendo game enthusiasts ought to gorge on blue hedgehog on GameCube.
13. Viewtiful Joe
Crackling with power and celluloid action, Viewtiful Joe is a side-on brawler and turned into one of the fabled ‘Capcom Five’ exclusives which could cease up (for the maximum part) locating their manner to different platforms.
With a complicated fight system, it skirts into fighter territory with a dusting of VFX (Viewtiful Effects) that modifies the waft of the fight and permits you to chain mixtures and use an approach to conquer your manner via Movie Land and rescue film-enthusiast Joe’s girlfriend.
We have not heard from Joe in an awesome lengthy while, however, it is difficult to consider a man or woman who may want to match extra snuggly into the Smash Bros.
Ultimate roster, coupled with a cheeky Switch remaster of this game, and it is a sequel, of course. Make it happen, Capcom!

14. Best GameCube Games: The Simpsons Hit & Run
Not to be burdened with The Simpsons Road Rage, a slightly disguised Crazy Taxi clone, this later effort stocks extra DNA with the Grand Theft Auto collection than Sega’s manic arcade driver.
The surprise right here turned into simply how nicely the Simpsons Hit & Run depicted the Springfield fanatics knew and cherished from the show, and the way nicely this GTA parody played.
For any such, phenomenally a hit collection, the Simpsons have a few actual stinkers to its call with regards to video games, so this turned into a completely great surprise.
15. Beyond Good & Evil
An elegant action journey from Ubisoft and Rayman writer Michel Ance.
Beyond Good and Evil spins an amazing yarn of political intrigue, puzzle-solving, and investigation.
Protagonist Jade has to stealthily gather proof as she explores the planet of Hillys so that it will useful resource the resistance and convey down the DomZ, a group of evil extraterrestrial beings suspected of pulling the strings of a navy dictatorship it’s risen to power.
The base gameplay is fantastic, however, it is the world-constructing and environment that units BG&E aside and makes us excited for the prequel presently withinside the works.
Let’s preserve our arms crossed for a Switch port.
16. Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Despite the frequency with which we do it, crashing your vehicle in an online game is often a signal of failure.
However, builders Criterion injected the Burnout video games with high-chance thrills that rewarded you with a lift for being cavalier and made terrible riding a distinctive feature with its addictive ‘Crash’ mode.
This sequel advanced at the unique in nearly every manner and is that this a blast to (crash and) burn via today.
17. Mega Man X Collection of Best GameCube Games:
Compiling the primary six Mega Man X video games into one package, this disc became a remarkable manner for longtime fanatics to replay the fine video games.
Withinside, it became the collection to trap up for folks who may have overlooked entries because of them being on PlayStation
Even ignoring several lesser entries, simply having the primary 3 on one disc became a deal for fanatics, and it is the simplest manner to formally play Mega Man: Battle & Chase (think ‘Mega Man Kart’) on a Nintendo console, too.
18. SSX 3
Technically the 1/3 withinside the collection although a few do not consider SSX Tricky to be a real sequel to the original.
SSX3 places you on one unmarried mountain in preference to disparate pistes around the sector and delivered an entire bunch of upgrades over the preceding game, comprising a graphical overhaul.
Opinions differ, of course, however, this changed into arguably the height of the collection earlier than it slipped and it holds up nicely today.
19. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3
It features a smooth appearance again with rose-tinted specifications and considers matters had been higher withinside the past.
For maximum genres, it is a fallacy, however, while you study Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater three, it is arguably true. Some may select Pro Skater 2 or Pro Skater 4 (it is difficult to head incorrect with any of them, really).
However, that is a traditional withinside the skateboarding genre — the middle factor and top of the cultural crossover among skating and video video games earlier than the collection went off the boil and began out to sense a piece try-tough withinside the mid-2000s.
Even human beings with hobbies in skateboarding recognize who Tony Hawk is and it is way to those video games, of which Pro Skater three is probably the best. Ah, the memories…
20. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Co-developer Monolith Soft might pass directly to have extraordinary fulfillment on Nintendo structures with the Xenoblade Chronicles video games.
However, this Namco-published JRPG has its enthusiasts and stands proud on GameCube way to a notably slender library of RPG titles.
Baten Kaitos fused turn-, action- and card-primarily based totally mechanics into a completely unique conflict system.
Playing as an overseeing guardian, the participant interacts at once with the characters as a substitute than ‘controlling’ them, which offers it a completely unique taste aside from different video games withinside the genre.
21. Best GameCube Games: Super Monkey Ball
Times they were a-changing back in the early 2000s and for gamers, there was no surer sign than a Nintendo console launching with a game from arch-rivals Sega.
Fortunately, Sega hit the ground running (or should that be rolling?) on other companies’ hardware with Super Monkey Ball, a fantastically surreal and vibrant series of gauntlets that had you tilting the terrain to guide a monkey in a ball to a goal.
It really is all in the title, and while Sega fans might have felt blue this was a great sign that the company’s spirit would live on.

22. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Ubisoft’s 3-D tackle the enduring 2D unique spawned a big range of sequels. However, arguably none of them had the finesse and recognition of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which used the equal engine evolved for Beyond Good & Evil.
Sewing a rewind mechanic into the very cloth of the game, there is a beauty to the gameplay that was given misplaced withinside the next video games in which the lot went chunk emo.
This changed into one in all many top-notch multiplatform releases which got here to GameCube and it is truly really well worth winding the clock again and taking some other examine this classic.
23. SSX Tricky
1080° Snowboarding may have had one-on-one contests, however, it (and different video games of the time) took a greater severe method to online game snowboarding.
SSX Tricky alternatively turned into constructed across the concept of Boardercross, a type of Motocross variation that pitted a set of borders towards every different on the identical time.
Consequently, this slickly produced recreation had a bit greater of an irreverent, ‘fun’ character with a focal point on arcade-fashion thrills and spills over the precision and ‘realism’ of Nintendo’s take at the sport.
Looking back, it is a breath of clean air in comparison to EA’s services on Nintendo consoles those days.
24. Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II
While GameCube had the ability for online play way to an adaptor that plugged right into a port on the lowest of the console, only a few video games supported it.
Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II changed into the primary motive to personal the adaptor (in addition to the as an alternative top-notch ASCII Keyboard controller which basically breaks up a general GameCube controller down the center and welded keyboard among the 2 halves).
Online RPGs are a dime-a-dozen nowadays on consoles. However, Sonic Team’s recreation changed into many console gamers’ first brush with an internet global and it advanced a devoted following till Sega close servers in 2007.
25. Super Monkey Ball 2
From the crew behind F-Zero GX, Super Monkey Ball 2 brought something that become desperately missing withinside the unique game – a Story Mode.
Yes, in case you had been thinking how or why those simians had been trapped interior obvious balls and being flung around on surreal floating stages, this sequel now furnished a much-wanted narrative context, and Monkey Ball lore become born.
All jokes aside, it provided extra of the identical first-rate gameplay from the unique and proved to be simply as tremendous a celebration game. There’s not anything now no longer to like!
26. Pikmin
Shigeru Miyamoto is devoted to gardening and before you know it he created the Nintendo version of the RealTime Strategy genre!
Featuring tiny plant creatures you command as a group to pick up trash, pick fruit, and battle insects and other beasts, it’s both disarmingly charming and completely bloodthirsty.
You become very protective of the little creatures who carry out your orders and there is an immense sense of guilt when you accidentally command a legion in a water tomb or awaken a nest of sleeping monsters who continue to nibble large parts of it. your army.
The sequel may have had some big improvements and additions, but there’s something to be said for the tense design and focus of the original Pikmin. We really like it.
27. TimeSplitters Future Perfect
The third installment of the Timesplitters series continued to repeat the multiplayer-focused gameplay of many of the creators of GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark.
The game gave GameCube owners another big dose of FPS deathmatch, although they, unfortunately, lost the online game that PS2 and Xbox owners enjoy.
28. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Often considered the weakest entry in the Prime trilogy, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes still has the same brand of exploratory first-person action that made the first game such a success, albeit with greater difficulty. and a lackluster multiplayer that took away the luster for some players.
We recommend playing it on the Wii with the added benefit of the pointer controls if difficulty is an issue, but whatever you play, this sequel is still an incredibly good game.

29. Luigi’s Mansion
If it were out now, Luigi’s Mansion would likely be praised for the charming and affectionate genre parody that it is, and its short duration would likely be a plus in an age where we have more games than time to play.
As a launch game for GameCube, however, it wasn’t what Nintendo gamers expected in 2002 after Super Mario 64 that defined the genre that launched the previous Nintendo console.
It took a while to be appreciated after the initial bewilderment that this wasn’t a Mario platformer, but after a 3DS sequel (not to mention a remake) and the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch, it’s safe to say that the original has since received the proper levels of love and still sounds great after 18 years.
30. SoulCalibur II
The Dreamcast original SoulCalibur changed into a momentous combating sport for domestic consoles. It added arcade-best visuals into the house with the staunchest fanboys on different consoles gawping jealously at Sega’s ill-fated system.
Fortunately for them, a multiplatform sequel could arrive in 2003, and GameCube was given an advantage that made it the specific choice of the bunch.
Yes, the fantastic visuals and weapon-primarily based totally brawling have been all gift and correct, however, Nintendo game enthusiasts have been dealt with to Link from The Legend of Zelda becoming a member of the roster with Master Sword in hand.
That unmarried element changed into sufficient to attract gamers who would possibly by no means have touched it in any other case and really satisfied they have been, too.
Take Link out and it is nevertheless an amazing combating sport, however, he clearly changed into the cherry in this as an alternative scrumptious cake.
31. TimeSplitters 2
Developed with the aid of Free Radical, a studio shaped by numerous team developers of N64 Rareware hits GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark.
This sequel is constructed on the inspiration of the PlayStation authentic with a greater enjoyable story, greater refinement… and typically greater of everything.
For Nintendo game enthusiasts smarting after Rare joined Microsoft’s strong of improvement studios, Timesplitters 2 presented a thrillingly familiar-feeling multiplayer FPS deathmatch enjoy which we might love to look a go back in a few potentials on cutting-edge systems, particularly handheld hybrid ones produced with the aid of using Nintendo.
32. Resident Evil
The original Resident Evil was a zombie movie classic that cemented the idea of survival horror in the minds of a generation but also had a delightfully shady script and silly characters that the series deviated from in later entries.
With REmake, Capcom attempted to bring the original back in line with the luxury production values of later games and succeeded in that regard.
As a complete overhaul of the PlayStation original, the power of the GameCube, combined with the beautifully repainted static backgrounds that still exist today, was used to create an atmospheric and atmospheric version of the Spencer Mansion that we knew.
With a nod to its glitzy past, the game stopped surprises for veterans who knew the original inside and out, and arguably represents the best of the pre-RE4 classic entries in the venerable Biohazard franchise.
33. Animal Crossing
It’s debatable whether this series actually came into play in a portable context with the wonderful Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS, but the N64 original nailed most systems for the first time and this GameCube port from this exclusive Japan Version introduced Animal Crossings. Nice antics of the village in real-time in the west.
In this series, you play a little bit every day and it’s much easier to do on a portable system that you can use on the bus or during your lunch break.
It’s hard to go back to a village these days hooked up to a home console, but again, it’s hard to go back to a previous entry once you’ve gotten used to the myriad of improvements in the quality of life on the next.
The memories will always be remembered, however, and that first taste of village life was sweet.
34. F-Zero GX
While there is still some debate as to whether F-Zero X is better on the N64 or the GameCube sequel F-Zero GX developed by Sega, we all agree that both games are pretty special on their own.
The story mode in the latter helps to draw a picture of the ‘funiverse’ and these scenes with Captain Falcon and the gang certainly add some pizzazz. The series certainly never looked better than this GameCube entry.
The breakneck speed and brutal difficulty level may put some people off, but the race isn’t much purer than that and since this was the last entry in the franchise to land on a home console sixteen depressing years ago, this is still the best version of F-Zero on the go.
35. Tales of Symphonia
The GameCube entry in Namco’s Tales series, Tales of Symphonia, could best be described as an RPG for non-fans of the genre.
The combat system is active and forgoes the static menus one would expect in favor of the “Multiline Linear Motion Battle System” which makes things more dynamic for players who like this type of thing.
This was the primary entry with 3D graphics and while the storyline could be a touch mundane if you’re conversant in the genre, there is a lot to love here.
The game has also been released on PS2 in Japan and on PS3 globally, therefore the GameCube is not the only place to satisfy Lloyd and therefore the gang.
36. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Seeing Metal Gear Solid, a game synonymous with Sony’s PlayStation, on a Nintendo console was a very welcome, albeit shocking, experience in 2004.
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was developed primarily by Silicon Knights, the same studio. behind Eternal Darkness and incorporated aspects of Sons of Liberty gameplay into the original MGS game.
It also features some obvious graphics updates and a fully re-recorded dialogue with almost all of the original cast. The new additions have generally been well received, although the gameplay additions have likely trivialized some of the difficulties of the original game.
Still, it’s a nice take on a classic and worth adding to your collection (although finding it reasonably priced these days is a mission worthy of Solid Snake himself).
37. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
In a fit of nostalgia, we only recently launched Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, and we were amazed at how good this 17-year-old game is.
As a launch game this was the technical highlight with Wave Race: Blue Storm that you showed your friends and we would have launched an HD re-release faster than a mynock on a power cord.
The sequel also included the entirety of the game in 2 player mode (which was probably the best thing about Rebel Strike) and while there is no shortage of ways to play in a galaxy far, far away, it is still one of the best arcade-style renditions of the saga’s best flight moments.
38. Best GameCube Games- Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is a brilliant psychological horror game that mixes Resident Evil-style survival horror with Old World Lovecraftian magic and an evolving historical narrative to create something truly unique and only available on GameCube.
It may take a while to get under the spell and the unusual mix of styles (and maybe that’s why used copies only cost pennies for so many years), but once you are under the skin, it’s a difficult game to shake.
The sanity effects of the fourth-wall-breaking still steal the thumbs up the column. But the ambitious and fearsome story deserves just as much recognition. It doesn’t matter if you’re a die-hard horror fan or a newbie in need of advice with the lights on, we recommend you play as much as you could .
39. Pikmin 2
Pikmin 2 expands the original by removing the thirty-day limit that bothered players so much in the first game.
Wingman Louie joined Captain Olimar this time, and the game also introduced the White and Purple Pikmin. This expanded the mind-boggling possibilities and options available to players.
Some players may lose focus of the original, but this is an acceptable sequel. It is worth the chase on GameCube as New Play Controls the version released on Wii.
40. Best GameCube Games- Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Mario Kart game depends a lot on the most played in multiplayer.
This raises controversial debates, although it receives little attention from many. Nevertheless, we get to keep wonderful memories of Mario Kart: Double Dash.
You might be missing a certain je ne sais quoi if you focus on other entries in the series. Make no mistake though, this remains a chaotic kart classic.
41. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
With its prestige in graphics, connoisseurs adore it. It might be the only game with a 3DS Fire Emblem Awakening. These are usually from Intelligent Systems.
For 2005 fans, this game introduced 3D graphics to the strategy series on the 3rd installment. It features protagonist Ike, who would join the battle in Super Smash Bros. Battle and gain notoriety before returning to this game’s Wii sequel, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
42. Best GameCube Games: Skies of Arcadia Legends
If there was one positive thing about Dreamcast’s untimely demise, it was that other consoles took advantage of Sega’s misfortune.
A port of the original Dreamcast game was made by Sega’s Overworks studio. This team of veteran developers witnessed their creation billed, a turn-based JRPG director’s cut.
Fans have long demanded a modern remaster of the adventures of the air pirate Vyse, but that hasn’t materialized. Until that time comes, the GameCube remains the best way to revisit Arcadia.
43. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has taken the series back to an artistic style closer to Ocarina of Time.
Many fans of the Zelda franchise were excited to see Nintendo return to its roots. This was just after the backlash for The Wind Waker. Although critics said it didn’t “sound right”, Twilight Princess still features breathtaking dungeons.
This was the first time Nintendo had done this. They would repeat the process with Breath of the Wild on Wii.
While the Wii version turned the world upside down, the GameCube version reversed the map. Midna and the Twilight Realm got an HD remaster on the Wii U (like Wind Waker).

44. Best GameCube Games: Super Smash Bros. Melee
There’s a reason Super Smash Bros. Melee has a following in the fighting community to this day. He is a brilliant local multiplayer brawler who smoothed out the edges of the original N64.
He also added a ton of contents compared to other voices in the series.
Smash promises growth, but there is elegance to the GameCube iteration. Ultimate and want to try a different brawl flavor between superstars.
45. Best GameCube Games: The Legend of Zelda (Ocarina of Time / Master Quest)
For its unmarketable nature, “Ura Zelda” was put away. It was actually an expanded “Second Quest” of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
Fortunately, GameCube owners could have played it on this special disc. These discs were available as a pre-order bonus with The Wind Waker.
It gave fans the chance to play some new Zelda content. It’s no wonder it is so high in the memory of owners of GameCube.
A variant of Master Quest was later available in Grezzo’s Ocarina port on 3DS. Notwithstanding, this was the only way to play with those classic N64 images. GameCube,
46. The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition
Contains the original Legend of Zelda and Zelda II for the NES. It also has the N64 Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask voices.
The emulation of the latter two was not perfect. It was a way to play old Zelda on your brand new GameCube at $ 0. Indeed, a nice collection.
47. Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime changed the way gamers viewed first-person shooters on a console. It succeeded in delivering an engrossing, mature experience that merged the best of both worlds.
This is a port of the popular PC game that incorporates the Wii’s controller into the gameplay. The player shoots and jumps through increasingly tough levels.
The “off-TV” adaptive display methods, is one interesting aspect.
This means the main screen shows what your character. There’s provision to watch your controls on another screen.
When it comes to Metroid, there are few games that match the excellence of Super Metroid.
48. Best GameCube Games: The Legend of Zelda (The Wind Waker)
Carton Link’s maiden voyage feels almost as fresh as the Isle of ‘Outset. When we set out to find out what happened to the Hyrule we once knew.
Despite its imperfections, it is still one of our favorites of the series. Despite its flaws, it remains one of the best Zelda games of the era.
It is only fitting that ‘Celda’ ruined the game when it was first revealed.
49. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
GameCube yields a power that creates loyalty for paper-art style than the original. Notwithstanding, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door has stayed true to the original design.
. The same irreverent spirit makes so many Mario RPGs pleasantly different from platform mascots.
Where other players have dropped the ball in an area or two, ThousandYear Door does everything right; plot, writing, battles, presentation of the lot.
Cherish your copy, if you have one. Lend it to a trusted friend who has never been to Rogueport.
50. Best GameCube Games: Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 was a turning point for Capcom’s survival horror series.
It was so brilliant that it took until relatively recently for the series to escape its shadow. Although it has appeared on every other home console by GameCube, it remains one of the best places.
