Tesla deployed a new third-generation urban supercharger V3 (Supercharger V3) in the German capital Berlin, and promised to deploy more of this urban setting in Europe to support its business growth in Europe.
By strategically placing charging stations along major highways, Tesla’s network of super charging stations will provide protection for the long-distance driving of electric vehicles between major urban areas.
As Tesla began to introduce cheaper electric car products, more apartment residents who might not be able to charge at home began to buy the company’s vehicles. Now, the automaker is trying to provide more charging solutions for cities.
In 2017, Tesla launched a new urban super charging station to solve the problem of charging electric vehicles for urban users.
Now, Tesla has deployed a super charging station V3 in the center of Berlin to support local Tesla electric car owners to charge.
The new super charging station is located in the EUREF Campus near the Gasometer Schöneberg Tower, which is rumored to be the location of Tesla’s European Design Center.
Tesla’s manager of charging infrastructure in Europe, Jeroen van Tilburg, said, “Our commitment is to make Tesla’s electric car owners more convenient, as well as for those in the home or workplace. Every user who does not have the charging conditions becomes more convenient. As part of this commitment, we are expanding the super charging pile to the city center.”
With Tesla’s electric vehicle Model Y put into production at its Berlin super factory, it is expected that the company’s electric vehicle sales in Europe will increase rapidly starting next year.
The company will also produce Model 3 electric vehicles at this super factory in Berlin, which will result in a lower price for this product than the same product imported from the United States to Germany. Tesla’s Gigafactory in California also produces Model 3 cars.
So far, Tesla has deployed 17,467 super charging stations around the world .
