According to foreign media reports, Google is developing a new product codenamed Halvor. This may be the successor to Pixelbook Go, which is said to be released sometime in 2021.
According to a report from Chrome Unboxed, the codename of the new machine was recently discovered in the Chromium repository.
In addition, Halvor is said to have a keyboard, touch pad and even touch screen panel. This indicates that the device may also use the clamshell design that Google Pixelbook Go has. Depending on the user’s use scenario, the device can be turned into a laptop or tablet. Currently, there is not much information about the next-generation Pixelbook. However, the new revelations also hinted at other specifications.
In terms of memory, the latest generation of Chromebooks will support two memory versions, one of which can support up to 16GB RAM. In addition, another piece of information that can be seen is that the device will also be equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is missing from the Pixel Slate. Halvor will also have 3 USB-C ports, and possible USB 4 support . This means that this laptop is likely to be geared towards productivity users.
