Customers with current LG TVs have been waiting about two years. Since the launch of Sky Q, Sky Deutschland has promised a corresponding streaming app for other platforms. So far, this has only been available on Samsung TVs (Tizen). Now that this topic has become quiet for a few months, Sky people have spoken again in the in-house forum. Again, the users / customers and their own assumptions are put in their place, making the usual promises as they have been for a very long time.
Sky Q comes to other platforms very slowly
While users are spreading their own rumors that LG’s app for smart TVs will not appear until 2021, the counter-notification comes from Sky employees. We can be assured that the app will be “available shortly”. You want to be able to announce exactly when that is. In another post, the Sky employee reports: “And when we say” soon “, we mean a period of a few weeks and not 2021.”
Sky most recently announced in January that it plans to release the app, which will be ready in December. It’s been two months now, in which very little happened. In May 2019 ,availability for summer 2019 was announced. Worked well. We should wait and see, not relying on promises made. I just think it’s still a shame that Sky no longer opens and makes it easier for customers.
